Marginal Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Marginal is an iOS game that teaches microeconomics. This policy explains what information the game collects and how it is used. It applies to the Marginal app (the App Store listing "Marginal - Play Economics").

What we collect

What we do not collect

We do not collect your real name, location, contacts, photos or payment information. We do not show ads, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your information for advertising.

How we use it

Only to run the game: syncing your progress, showing leaderboards and classes, and reading your feedback to improve the game.

Where it is stored

Data is stored with our hosting provider, Supabase, and protected by access rules so players can only change their own data. Game progress is also saved on your device. Marginal opens Wikipedia articles in an in-app browser for further reading; Wikipedia's own privacy policy applies there.

Children

Marginal is designed to be used in classrooms. We ask only for a nickname and do not ask for personal information such as real names. Please choose a nickname that is not your real name.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time in the game: Settings, then Account, then Delete my account. This permanently deletes your online scores, progress and class memberships. You can also email us and we will delete your data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
